An afternoon here is the kind of experience I live for.
I asked my friends to spare me an afternoon diversion from our trip across the country to chase down a waterfall I heard about. It’s at the end of a 10-mile dirt road somewhere up in Ozark National Forest. We didn’t make it there. The road was washed out and impassable about 5 miles in, but what a consolation, we found this pool and little falls along the way.
It was filled with crawdads that wandered toward my toes if I stood in one spot very long.
