The pawpaw’s flavor is very difficult to describe, although everyone agrees it has has a custard-like consistency and something of a banana-ish flavor, with hints of papaya, pear, mango, and pineapple.
Why aren’t these little gems more popular? The flowers produce an odor similar to that of rotting meat.
I just ordered my first batch of the season.
